Program

Three premieres ∙ Commissioned music ∙ Projection design ∙ Stunning dancers. Program: Jacqulyn Buglisi’s plea to protect and preserve the planet The Moss Anthology: Variation#5 with an original score by Emmy Award-winning composer Jeff Beal famed for his music for films, television, concert halls, and environmental documentaries; and In the name of the fire, and the flame, and grace performed by renowned principal dancer Blakeley White-McGuire, is dedicated to all people suffering from the global refugee crises; Virginie Mécène’s male trio UNUM... we are one...set to a score created through the dancers' breath by Jacopo Baboni-Schilingi. Also on the program is I Love You, duet performed by Kristine Bendul and Abdiel Jacobsen choreographed by Ron De Jesus of Hubbard Street and Twyla Tharp's Movin' Out (12/11-12); KINGS, a dance with narration on the Central Park 5 by emerging choreographer Meagan King (12/11); Buglisi’s iconic Sand, set to Philip Glass’ brilliant string quartet, is a tribute to the beauty of the desert and the soil of the earth we so cherish for our existence.
