LINDSAY PHILLIPS (she/her) is a dance artist and community engager from South Carolina. After attending the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities, she fulfilled her undergraduate study at The Juilliard School in NYC. There, she performed works by an array of choreographers including Spenser Theberge and Jermaine Spivey, Justin Peck, Ohad Naharin, and Trisha Brown. Additionally, Lindsay often participated in Student Choreographic Workshops, premiered works in Juilliard’s Choreographic Honors and Senior Graduation Concert, and was commissioned to perform a self-choreographed work in Unavailable Memory at Baryshnikov Arts Center in a project with The Merce Cunningham Trust. Before graduating in 2023, Lindsay had the pleasure of working closely with Jacqulyn Buglisi and Terese Capucilli, as she prepared to perform Buglisi’s duet Sospiri within Juilliard’s Senior Graduation Concert. Since then, she has also been invited to continue performing Sospiri with Buglisi Dance Theatre for their 30th anniversary season, as well as at Dance St. Louis and Caroga Lake Music Festival in New York. Lindsay currently resides back at home in Andrews, SC, where she is working as the Youth Director at Saints Delight Church and embarking on a new-found journey in ministry, teaching, and dance.
